ZeroTape: Ergonomic tape system wins innovation award
ZeroTape® is a quality tape with a special small core (38mm) that must be used in combination with the special ergonomic dispenser. Due to the special core, there can be up to 150 meters of tape on a roll instead of the usual 66 meters. In the first instance, this results in smaller volumes, less CO2 emissions and less storage volume and ultimately less waste. The innovative ZeroTape® dispenser provides a greatly improved posture/movement, especially of the wrist. An extremely good, ergonomic improvement over conventional dispensers on the market. Only benefits… - 100% ergonomic closing with dispensers - 100% CO2 neutral production - 75% less stress on muscles in the wrist, arm and shoulder - 25% less muscle activity - fewer roll changes due to almost three times longer rolls - easy and fast unrolling with ventilated handle ZeroTape® - A completely new dispensing system is now revolutionizing the world of packaging. Developed by a talented team of design engineers, every aspect of the packaging process was analyzed during development to see how it could really be improved. With its ergonomic design, advanced functionality, ease of use and productivity benefits, ZeroTape® is an excellent new product that will appeal to every packaging department! Gone are the days of sore wrists thanks to ZeroTape®. In collaboration with the Department of Ergonomics at the University of Siegen, the innovative benefits of ZeroTape® were scientifically researched and confirmed in comparison with the ergonomic properties of various tape dispensers. The study shows a huge improvement with 75% less stress on tense muscles in the shoulder and forearm when using ZeroTape®. Muscle activity decreases by up to 25%. That is why ZeroTape® is recommended by scientists from an ergonomic point of view.

We're aiming for less with RecyCold®
Topa aims for less CO₂, less waste and lower costs with the recyclable fresh food packaging RecyCold® climaliner™ and RecyCold® cool pack. Less CO₂ Less waste Less costs RecyCold® climaliner™: sustainable protection of temperature-sensitive items during transport If your food and drinks need to arrive cool, you need good insulating packaging. Thanks to the insulating power of paper, RecyCold® climaliner™ protects temperature-sensitive items during transport. RecyCold® climaliner™ ensures less waste RecyCold® climaliner™ consists of more than 98.5% paper and is therefore recyclable, renewable and biodegradable. RecyCold® climaliner™ leads to lower costs Thin paper packaging material ensures optimal use of the box contents and flexibility in the use of different packaging sizes. RecyCold® cool pack: the water-based cooling gel keeps products cool during unconditioned transport RecyCold® cool packs are specially made for products that need to be cooled during unconditioned transport. They are available in different sizes and weights. Recyclable RecyCold® cool packs keep temperatures consistently low RecyCold® cool packs have a freezing point of -2˚C and can keep temperatures constant between 2 and 8˚C and between -2 and -5˚C. Both the product and the ink are suitable for indirect contact with food. RecyCold® cool pack is sustainable The paper cool pack can be reused by consumers or the contents can be thrown away in the sink, garden or bio-bin. And after disposing of the contents, the paper bag can be processed into the regular recycling stream.

Paper fibre-based cellulose foam: The sustainable alternative to polymer foams
A foam made from recycled paper and wood fibres is about to start a revolution in the packaging industry. With shock absorption comparable to polymer foams but 80% lower CO2 emissions, this material promises a greener future. What makes paper fibre-based foam a sustainable alternative? Paper fibre-based foam is made from recycled paper and wood fibre In comparison with existing fossil-based polymer foams, foam made from paper fibres delivers an 80% reduction in CO2 emissions Paper fibre-based foam can be recycled along with your regular paper and card waste Applications and advantages: Paper-fibre foam, a product of Stora Enso, offers outstanding shock-absorbing properties and is scratch-resistant, making it ideal for a range of different applications: The paper fibre-based postal box has been designed as a circular product, made from paper fibre-based foam and cardboard, and can be recycled again along with your regular wastepaper. The paper fibre postal box is available in various sizes and offers products optimal protection against the loads they are exposed to during transportation. Paper fibre-based foam is easy to process. The contours of your product are transferred perfectly to the foam. Paper-fibre foam also protects your product and gives the packaging a luxurious look. By laminating paper fibre-based foam and cardboard, we can give the buffer specific properties, providing your product with optimal protection. Sustainable moisture protection: AbsorGel® reduces CO2 by 75%
Looking for more sustainable alternatives Our mission is to provide you with peace of mind by protecting your products, day after day. We are therefore constantly searching for the best packaging solutions on the market. This task is carried out primarily by the portfolio managers in our purchasing department. They conduct research into the latest developments and innovations every day, to find the best and most sustainable solutions for you. In this search, they often come across very good initiatives and alternatives but discover that they are more expensive or do not offer the same level of protection. So it comes down to testing out as many innovations as possible and adding those that achieve the best results to our range. More sustainable solutions for moisture protection We recently completed a case study in cooperation with our partner for moisture-protection packaging solutions, demonstrating a significant cost improvement. These are used in container storage and transportation where metal components, electronic equipment or natural products need to be protected against the impact of moisture. The aim is to prevent rust and mould. In the storage and transportation of metal components, the VCI method is currently a very common choice. In this method, molecules attach to the surface of the metal and form a thin, protective layer. This layer prevents moisture and other corrosive elements from coming into contact with the metal. The use of desiccants is an alternative method for combating the negative impact of moisture. We’re all familiar with the little sachets of desiccant found in shoeboxes. Our supplier Absortech applies this method on an industrial scale. And they presented a convincing use case.
