The different CDA labeling methods
The “3 Points” Method
It is the most accurate labeling approach, specifically designed for cylindrical and conical shaped products such as bottles and vials. It involves rotating the product on itself using a smoothing roller and a platen cylinder, allowing the delivery and precise placement of one or more labels.
Banderolage
Wrapping is a labeling technique that rotates products using motorized belts that surround the container. This way, the label wraps around the product while smoothing it. Ideal for cylindrical products requiring a single wraparound label, wrapping provides security and protection, hermetically sealing the product against contamination or deterioration. It also provides significant time savings, promoting high production throughput, essential in large-scale manufacturing environments.
“On the Fly” Labeling
“On-the-fly” labeling is a technique allowing the application of labels to products in continuous movement, via a conveyor or a star. This approach is extremely effective for high-speed production environments.
In addition to the methods mentioned previously, CDA offers other labeling approaches tailored to specific needs, including:
“Top – bottom” labeling: Ideal for simultaneous labeling of the upper and lower sides of thin or flexible products.
Pressure labeling: Suitable for heat-sensitive products, where the label is pressed onto the product for optimal adhesion.
At CDA, our varied range of labeling machines, from semi-automatic to automatic, can be equipped with "3-point", "on-the-fly" or "banding" systems, thus offering a solution suitable for a multitude of needs.
