FANUC has been breathing sustainability from the get-go!

Heard of us yet? We are FANUC, one of the market leaders in factory automation. Our parent company is located in Japan but our many branches spread all over the world, ensuring strong local support at all times. With a very extensive product portfolio of industrial and collaborative robots, CNC controls, vertical machine tools, injection moulding and wire EDMs and IoT solutions, we offer innovative and high-tech products for the entire manufacturing industry.

FANUC has been breathing sustainability from the start!

Everyone, every company, big or small, jumps quickly on the we-are-sustainable train these days. But at FANUC, this has simply been in our DNA from birth, especially the moment of establishment. The beautiful nature surrounding our Japanese headquarters at the foot of Mount Fuji provided an inspiring stimulus. And time and again, we continue to put our important energy and climate goals first. Concrete examples? No problem!

  • By 2050 we want to be completely CO2 neutral
  • By 2030, we will use 10% less electricity
  • By 2025, we will drastically reduce our water consumption
  • We are constantly looking for new ways to reduce the amount of single-use packaging material
  • We have a 100-year tree restoration plan: we are transforming the artificial coniferous forests around our Japanese headquarters into a deciduous forest of trees better suited to the area.
  • We continue to develop and promote non-stop energy-efficient products

But that’s not all! FANUC also developed its own logo: FANUC Sustainability Mark. It represents a ‘tree leaf’ and an ‘infinity’ symbol, guaranteeing FANUC’s commitment to continue creating a sustainable society.

With this, we also reached CDP’s A-list Climate 2023, which was a great reward for all our efforts. CDP gave only 346 companies an A-score out of more than 21,000 companies they surveyed worldwide.
