A thermoforming machine starts from 2 film rolls, a bottom film and a top film, to form a complete package.
The bottom film is heated and drawn into the mould to form the cavity or tray. The product is then placed in the tray. Before the pack is sealed, gas can also be added (for MAP packaging), or the contents can be vacuum drawn.
At the end of the process, the packs are cut clean. The film residue is also collected by the machine for easy recycling.
