Developing new techniques, products and applications
Initiate and recommend product or process improvements
Analyzing new requests from customers on a technical level (feasibility)
Supervise and coordinate test orders together with the quality, production and planning departments
Elaborate and implement technical investment projects after approval
Investigation and root cause analysis in response to specific quality problems in complex files
Organizing meetings with other departments to discuss product development
Close collaboration with other engineering staff on joint projects
You are a backup for cost price calculations
PROFILE
Master’s or bachelor’s degree (Product Developer/Engineer) or equivalent through experience
Knowledge of materials and printing techniques used is a plus
Analytical and critical thinking skills
Practical insight: understanding what the customer asks and what technical solution is in return
Project management and sense of responsibility: bringing projects to a successful conclusion through own initiative and collaboration with other departments
Team player, who can also work independently
Strong in communication, to be able to convince others of own proposals
Experience and knowledge of the graphic process (color management, prepress, ERP, …) is a plus
You have a good knowledge of MS office
You are Dutch-speaking, but you also speak fluent English. Good knowledge of French is a plus
